Comments about Vinotemp 48 Bottle Dual-Zone Thermoelectric Wine Cooler:
My husband and I did quite a bit of research before we purchased this wine fridge, and we were very pleased with the looks of our new wine fridge, and liked how much bigger it was compared to our old one. There's not much you can do to adjust the shelves though, except to just remove a whole row of shelving to make room for larger bottles and magnums, which we did.
We don't drink white wine, so I separated the wine so that one side was just cabernet sauvingnon and the other side is a mix of all the other red varietals that we drink.
I like that the fridge is quiet and the doors had a great seal on them. Keeps the wine cold and to the temperature we set them to. We set the fridge up as a free-standing unit and it looks nice. There wasn't really anything that I didn't like about the unit.

Currently using it in the dining room and it is very presentable. This product is an ideal size for the casual enthusiast who likes to drink wine but not collect it.

Comments about Vinotemp 48 Bottle Dual-Zone Thermoelectric Wine Cooler:
This is a great product in many ways - it does not use a lot of electricity, it is very quiet, and it's terrific for not only storing reds, but also for pulling a bottle out and for having it at nearly the correct drinking temperature. Unfortunately, for whites the temperature will not adjust below 55 degrees which is too warm to drink most whites. Drinking temperature for most whites is 40 to 45 degrees and 55 is just too warm. As such you have to chill the bottle an additional 10+ degrees, which is quite frustrating. Additionally, while there is a light on each side to illuminate the whites and the reds, it really isn't bright enough to be useful. In a dark room you will still need to turn on an overhead light or use a flashlight to be able to select your bottle. As others have mentioned, some bottles do not fit properly or at all on some shelves, so rearrangement is sometimes required. All in all until there are more thermoelectric options available in this size, I'd buy again. But there are enough annoyances to make it not quite worth the price.

Comments about Vinotemp 48 Bottle Dual-Zone Thermoelectric Wine Cooler:
I am enjoying having a wine fridge. I've found that we drink much more red than white so I'm not really using the dual-zone function. I'm putting all the wines at the same temperature and then just putting a white in the fridge for awhile before serving.
One thing about the design which could be better - the shelf spacing does not allow for Burgandy shaped bottles except the very top and very bottom shelves. If I have more than fit in those shelves, then I have to remove shelves and reduce my total bottle spaces.
Something to add to future models - door and button locks to keep out small hands. I'm using cabinet child locks and they keep my toddler from completely opening the doors, but he can break the door seal and let room air into the fridge. He can also reach the buttons and change the temperature.

This is my second Vinotemp cellar. The first was a compressor version that sounded like a motorcycle. I replaced it with the quiet thermoelectric-- but it broke down after 1 day. Buy a different brand!

So far so good. I am pleased with the outside workmanship. The shelves are not great and some bottles don't fit all that well. But all in all I would recommend this.

This winecooler replaces my Haier in the dining room. The best thing that happened was the constant temperature, the energy I saved, and the professional look of the cooler.
Very happy and am considering buying another one for my vacation home.
